I sommar kan vi i samarbete med Cirkusflätan erbjuda ett 3 veckors, arvoderat sommarresidens hos oss på Kristofferscenen i Bromma. Ett residens den 4-22 juli, 2022 med ett stöd om 40 000:- är tillgängligt att söka för aktiva cirkusartister baserade i Sverige. .
För utlysningen av residenset hos Kristofferscenen kommer projekt med ett tydligt experimentellt element att vara av särskilt intresse. Det behöver inte vara avancerat, det kan handla om att undersöka ett okonventionellt cirkusobjekt, behandla en ovanlig relation till en annan konstform eller en annan ide du/ni har som är kopplad till att undersöka nya former, innehåll eller koncept. Projektet kan men behöver inte leda till en föreställning. Kristofferscenen längtar efter att stötta experimentella cirkus projekt som kan bidra till att vidga och reflektera kring cirkusen som konstform.
Residenset:
När: 4-22 juli
Lokal: Vi kan erbjuda 2 arbetslokaler
Scenen: Yta: 10x12m (förscen ej inlkuderad) — Takhöjd: 10m — Trägolv — Tillgång till scenens ljudsystem och enklare ljusrigg — För specifika frågor om riggmöjligheter kontakta oss.
Eurytmisalen: Yta: 10×10 m — Takhöjd: 8 m — Trägolv — Ingen tillgång till ljudsystem, ljus eller rigg —
Stöd: 40 000:- (Residensmottagaren är fri att använda stödet till del i produktionskostnad och/eller arvode till aktörerna. Planerad användning ska framgå i ansökan.)
Boende: Ej inkluderat
Residensmottagaren förbinder sig till ett samarbete med Kristofferscenen i någon form av work-in- progress eller liknande cirkusformat.
För att ansöka
Vi söker efter cirkuskompanier som är i olika faser i sina arbeten och kan passa till de olika erbjudandena. Ni är professionella cirkusartister med dokumenterad bakgrund och är era egna arbetsgivare och innehar F-skattsedel.
Det är möjligt för sökande att efter behov och möjligheter söka en eller flera av residensen hos Cirkusflätan. Om ni har för avsikt att söka flera av residensen vill vi att ni rangordnar era val.
Ansökan ska innehålla följande:
- Kort beskrivning av er produktion och var i processen ni är (max 1 A4 eller max 3 minuters länkad videopresentation (vimeo/youtube))
- Kort beskrivning av er och ert konstnärskap (max 1⁄2 A4 eller max 2 minuters länkad videopresentation (vimeo/youtube))
- CV och länkar till rörligt material
- Information och kontaktuppgifter till kompaniet och de medverkande vid residenset (max 2 A4)
- Hur ni planerar använda stödet
- Vilket eller vilka av residensen som ni söker samt rangordning
Urvalsprocessen sker genom urvalsgrupp bestående av representanter från de olika residensplatserna samt Cirkusflätans arbetsgrupp. Besked lämnas i vecka 19.

Cirkusflätan är ett treårigt samarbetsprojekt mellan Västra Götalandsregionen, Region Stockholm och Region Östergötland. Under projektets tid vill vi skapa residensmöjligheter för cirkusartister.

This summer we will in collaboration with Cirkusflätan be able to offer a 3 week, paid summer residency here at Kristoffersenen in Bromma. A residency between the 4th -22nd of July 2022 with an 40 000:- in allowance is offered up to application to active circus artists based in Sweden.
For the call for the residency at Kristofferscenen special attention will be paid to circus projects that have a simple experimental element to them. No need to be complicated, it can be exploring non-conventionnal circus objects, engaging an unusual relation to another art form, or any idea that you have for exploring new forms, content or concepts. The projects can, but do not need to be leading to a show. Kristofferscenen longs for these experimental circus projects that can contribute to diversifying and reflecting on circus as an art form.
The residency:
Time: 4-22 July
Space: We can offer 2 working spaces
The stage: Space 10x12m — Ceiling height: 10m — Wooden floor — Access to the stages´ sound system and basic lights setup — For specifics on possibilities of rigging please get in touch with us.
The eurythmic studio: Space: 10x10m — Ceiling height: 8m — Wooden floor– No rigging, stage light or PA-system.
Support: 40 000:- (The support may be used as preferred for production costs and/or fees for the participants (planned use to be specified in the application)
Accommodation: Not included
The artist/artists chosen for the residency commit to in collaboration with Kristofferscenen perform some kind of work-in -progress or similar circus format during or connected to the residency period.
To apply:
We are looking for circus companies in different phases of their creative process.
Ýou are professional circus artists based in Sweden with a documented background. You are you own employee and have F-skattsedel.
We want the application to include the following:
- Short description of the project and where you are at in the process (max 1 A4 or max 3 min linked videopresentation. (Vimeo/youtube))
- Short description of you and your artistic practice (max 1/2 A4 or max 2 min linked videopresentation.)
- CV and video links
- Information and contact info to the company or participants at the residency.
- How you plan to spend the support in the project
- It is allowed to apply for several of the residencies in Cirkusflätan, if you do please specify that and rank them in order of preference.
The selection process is conducted by a selection group with representatives from each residency place and the working group from Cirkusflätan. The decision will be communicated by week 19.

Cirkusflätan is a 3 year collaboration project between the western region, the Stockholm Region and the eastern region of Sweden. During the duration of the project we want to create residency possibilities for circus artists.
