Ol´that
På Kristofferscenen är vi glada att välkomna Aleksey Smolov och Marcus Wärnheim för ett höstresidens med sitt nya projekt ”Ol´that.
Ol´that är ett cirkus- och musikverk för två personer och två metallrör. I projektet experimenterar de två artisterna med hjälp av improvisationsmetoder med fördelningen av kraft mellan objekt och (människo-) kropp.
De två artisterna, tillsammans med ett Cyr Wheel och en altsaxofon, ger sig in i fysiska möten för att synliggöra potentialen i de sammanflätade materialen, mellan andetagen och i de gemensamma träffpunkterna. Det är en eloge till spontanitet, till det sensoriska och till skönheten som ligger i försöket att kommunicera och bli till, tillsammans.
Artisterna kommer att framföra verket den 27:e september kl. 18.00, 2021 på Filmhuset i Stockholm, Sverige. Endast för inbjudna.
Ol´that har stöd av Nordic Culture Point Mobility Funding, Grassroot Baltic Circus artists network project. Samproducerat av Kristofferscenen.
Residenset sker i samarbete mellan Kristofferscenen, CirkusPerspektiv och Stockholms Konstnärliga Högskola (genom projektet Circus as a Practice of Hope).

Kristofferscenen is glad to welcome Aleksey Smolov and Marcus Wärnheim in an autumn residency with their new project Ol’that.
Ol’that is a circus music piece for two people and two metal tubes. In the piece the artists experiment, through improvisational methods, with the distributed power between objects and (human) bodies. The two artists, together with a Cyr Wheel and an Alto Saxophone, engage in physical encounters to uncover the potential that resides in the intermeshed materialities, the inter-breath and the connecting points. An eloge to spontaneity, sensoriality and to the beauty that is the attempt to communicate and becoming together.
The artist will perform the piece on September 27th 18.00 at Filmhuset in Stockholm, Sweden. On invitation only.
