Kristofferscenen och CirkusPerspektiv med “Cirkusflätans – Tre residens i tre regioner” välkomnar Circ2M
Till Cirkusflätans öppna utlysning ”Cirkusflätan – Tre residens i tre regioner” har Stockholmsregionen annonserat ett cirkusresidens som kommer att äga rum i samarbete med Kristofferscenen under 4-22 juli 2022.
De inlämnade projekten involverade ett brett spektrum av förhållningssätt till cirkuskonst som väl representerade de höga konstnärliga kvaliteter och de mångsidiga och vidgade förhållningssätt till cirkuskonst som utgör den samtida cirkuskonstens fält i Sverige idag.
Urvalsgruppen har tillkännagivit följande konstnärer som tilldelats residens i regionerna:
Region Östergötland i samarbete med Norrköpings Ungdomscirkus: Walter Berndtsson.
Region Västra Götaland i samarbete med Nycirkusfestival Rydal: Ivana Martins Andrade och Thomas Grahndin Jensen
Region Stockholm i samarbete med Kristofferscenen: Circ2M
Circ2M består av Marjut Hernesniemi och Myrsky Rönkä, båda baserade i Ekerö kommun. Med sitt projekt Blob [arbetstitel] är duons avsikt att utforska kopplingarna mellan cirkuskonst och naturen och de potentiella uttrycken i att växa fram och bli med rep för vilket urvalsgruppen har beviljat inbjudan till residenset. Kristofferscenen är glad över att vara partner till Cirkusflätan i Stockholmsregionen och att välkomna cirkuskompaniet Circ2M, som främjar experimentellt innehåll och innovativa skapelser inom cirkuskonsten i Sverige.
Inom ramen för deras projektforskning är Blob:
– forskning inom en konventionell cirkusrekvisit [rep] på ett okonventionellt sätt.
– drivande konstnärlig forskning om konceptet Blob, vilket uppmuntrar en tvärvetenskaplig symbios mellan konstnärlig och vetenskaplig forskning på området.
– Utveckling av regenerativa och förnybara metoder för cirkusmetoder inom scenkonsten.
Cirkusflätans “Tre residen i tre regioner’s” residens vid Kristofferscenenen under 4-22. juli möjliggörs med stöd av Kulturrådet. Kristofferscenen stöds av Stockholm region, Stockholm stad och partners Kristofferskolan och CirkusPerspektiv’ Nomadic Circus Gallery med stöd av Stockholm stad och Kulturrådet. Kristofferscenen and CirkusPerpektiv with ”Cirkusflätans – Three residences in Three regions” welcome Circ2M!
For Cirkusflätan’s open call “Three residencies in three regions” the Region of Stockholm has announced a circus residency, which will take place in collaboration with Kristofferscenen during July 4-22, 2022. The projects submitted to the joint call involved a wide range of approaches to circus arts which well-represented the high artistic qualities and the diverse and expanded approaches to circus arts that constitute the field of contemporary circus arts in Sweden today.
The selection group has announced theses awarded artists in residence in the regions:
Region Östergötland in collaboration with Norrköpings Ungdomscirkus: Walter Berndtsson
Region Västra Götaland in collaboration with Nycirkusfestival Rydal: Ivana Martins Andrade and Thomas Grahndin Jensen
Region Stockholm in collaboration with Kristofferscenen: Circ2M
Circ2M is composed of Marjut Hernesniemi and Myrsky Rönkä, both based in Ekerö municipality. With their project Blob [working title], the duo intends to explore the interconnections between circus arts and nature and the potentials of emerging and becoming-with ropes for which the selection group has awarded the residency invitation. Kristofferscenen is delighted to be a partner of Cirkusflätan in the Stockholm Region and to welcome the circus company Circ2M, fostering experimental content and innovative creations within circus arts in Sweden.
Within their project research, Blob is:
– exploring a conventional circus apparatus [aerial rope] in a nonconventional way
– conducting artistic research on the concept of Blob, which encourages a cross-fertilisation between artistic and scientific research in the field
– developing regenerative and renewable approaches to circus practices in the performing arts
Cirkusflätan’s “three residencies in three regions” residency at Kristofferscenen from July 4 – 22, 2022 is made possible with the support of Swedish Arts Council. Kristofferscenen is supported by Stockholm Region, Stockholm City and the collaboration partners Kristofferskolan and CirkusPerspektiv’s Nomadic Circus gallery supported by Swedish Art Council, Stockholm City and Stockholm University of the Arts.
